Services
LifeCare Dental can offer a wide variety of services with our main focus being on General Dentistry. Our services include but are not limited to:

All Emergencies
Worn teeth A dental emergency is a medical emergency involving the teeth or gums. Pain involving these parts of the mouth, even when minor, can indicate a severe underlying problem that could worsen with time.

Dental Implants
Dental ImplantsA dental implant is an artificial tooth root replacement and is used in prosthetic dentistry. There are several types. The most widely accepted and successful is the osseointegrated implant, based on the discovery that titanium could be successfully incorporated into bone when osteoblasts grow on and into the rough surface of the implanted titanium.

Wisdom Teeth

• General Anesthetic available.
• Dental surgeons available 7 days a week.

Fillings
Fillings Composite fillings can be an alternative to amalgam fillings. They are made of a plastic material mixed with small glass particles and are tooth coloured, rather than silver. They are suitable for repairing both the front and the back teeth.

Root Canal Therapy
girl2 Sometimes a tooth is considered so threatened (due to internal cracking etc) that future infection is considered likely or inevitable, and a pulpectomy is advisable to prevent it. But usually some inflammation and/or infection is already present, within or below the tooth.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth WhiteningOur revolutionary tooth whitening technology is the latest in cosmetic dentistry. Bleaching your teeth has never been faster or easier.

Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain CrownsA crown, or full-coverage restoration (sometimes incorrectly called a cap) is a prosthetic tooth designed by a dentist and usually created by a lab technician (or more recently, a CAD-CAM machine). Crowns can be either metal, porcelain fused to metal, (PFM) or all porcelain/ceramic.

Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic Dentistry Cosmetic Dentistry is a discipline within dentistry in which the primary focus is the modification of appearance of a patient's oral cavity and surrounding structures, rather than the prevention and treatment of organic, structural, or functional oral disease.

Mouth Guards
guy1 A mouthguard is a device that fits into the mouth over one or both arches of teeth. They are typically made of vacuum-formed plastic.

Veneers
VeneersThese are thin, tooth coloured porcelain (ceramic) shells carefully crafted to bond to and cover the front of unsightly teeth. They are a more conservative treatment than a crown and can often be used as an alternative if the underlying tooth is strong and healthy.

Dentures
Dentures Dentures (also known as dental plates), can be defined as a set of artificial teeth, which are used when a patient has lost their real teeth. Patients can become entirely edentulous (without teeth) due to severe malnutrition, genetic defects, ineffective oral hygiene or trauma.

Preventive Dentistry
guy2 An important part of general dental practice is preventive dentistry. If a dentist examines a patient's teeth at regular intervals, a disease may be detected and treated before it becomes serious. Dentists also demonstrate proper methods of brushing and flossing the teeth.

General Dentistry
girl1 General Dental Practice includes most examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment, and prevention of disease. The dentist frequently uses X-rays and other equipment to ensure correct diagnosis and treatment planning.

Sedation and General Anaesthetic
girl3 Sedation

An oral sedative may also be prescribed for you to take before treatment. This sedative will greatly reduce “pre-appointment butterflies” and make treatment more comfortable. Additional sedation may be given at the time of your dental treatment to supplement the oral sedation.
